Mixed Stock Market Edges Higher on Week
Stocks were mixed in moderate trading with blue chips slipping before the close. Dow fell 6.18 points to 1,169.07 after a Thursday high, while the NYSE composite slid 0.15 to 91.94 as volume eased to 88.53 million shares.
