Kemptown Park Opens With Countywide Turnout
Hundreds of Frederick County residents attended the opening of a 72 acre park behind Kemptown Elementary School. The $725000 facility includes two tennis courts two picnic shelters two children's play areas and a softball field with plans for two more shelters and two more softball fields. County parks director Gilbert Kingsbury urged funding for a maintenance building as the crowd enjoyed hot dogs and family activities during the first day.
