Rainfall short in Frederick County sparks crop worry

In April 1991 Frederick County recorded 1.88 inches of rain while through April this month only 1.29 inches have fallen. Farmers Jesse Burall and Harold Lenhart voice concern over dry conditions for grass, hay, and grains like barley and oats. Forecasters expect normal May to July rainfall, with a 50 percent chance weather service accuracy.
