Business and Professional Women Club Meets in Frederick
Thirty five members of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Frederick gathered at the Francis Scott Key Hotel for a dinner meeting. Guest speaker Bruce Bruchey of the Health Department outlined the structure and aims of state and local health offices, noting understaffed divisions and detailed restaurant and public building inspections. Delegates were chosen for the state convention in Cumberland, funds were set for student loans, and plans were announced for clinics and a fall fashion show. In Manhattan, builders use pneumatic drills and dynamite to dig basements for skyscrapers.
