Motor Robbers Take $15,000 From Chicago Jeweler

Four armed men beat Edward Alberti at 12th Milwaukee avenue and his clerk then fled in a stolen car with jewelry valued at $15,000. The jeweler's son and two others were threatened but not seriously harmed. Police note the getaway vehicle was taken earlier in the city.

Seating plan for college lawn play postponed indoors

Dr Hyde Released On Habeas Corpus In Swope Murder Case

Dr B C Hyde, serving a life sentence for Colonel Thomas H Swope’s murder, is freed from county jail on a writ of habeas corpus after the Missouri Supreme Court granted him a new trial. En banc justices found the original evidence largely circumstantial and doubt about guilt remains. bail was set at $50, and a new trial date in Kansas City will be scheduled.

Mrs Belmont 23 lets suitor 60. Magistrate accepts Dr Jackola's promise not to bother her further as he reads a statement from James McMahon secretary to Mrs Belmont. Supposedly Dead Woman Revives in Freeland Pa

Mrs. Patrick McGuire, sixty three, was declared dead after two weeks of illness and surrounded by six children. An undertaker was summoned, but while preparing burial plans a tremor from the body led two boys to seek neighbors aid. The woman revived as the undertaker arrived, regained consciousness, and recognizes her family though still frail. In Ottawa a reciprocity debate stalls as opposition filibusters pending U S Senate action.
