Frederick County Arts Council urged to expand cultural programs
Frederick Mayor Ronald Young pushes formation of a county wide arts council to revive Title II style funding and bring arts groups to schools and communities. The plan, supported by Maryland Arts Council liaison Robert Benson, would unite visual, music, theater and dance groups under a county umbrella to boost funding and activity statewide. Local officials seek a joint city county body for better cultural growth and cooperation.
