STYLE OF RAIL CHANGED Aldermen Accede to Bee Railway

The Board of Aldermen met to discuss rails for the B and F Railroad. Messrs J E Ingram Jr and C P Matlack asked to change the 8 inch flange requirement, saying no rails exist with a 3 inch flange. They noted the widest flange rail is 2 3/4 inches and the change was approved as immaterial. Ingram spoke of delays by Baltimore railways hindering freight over their right of way. He said delivery of rails, once arrangements with Baltimore roads complete, would accelerate work. Initial delivery was four months, now sixty days more likely, and the road would be completed beyond question. Logram and Matkack returned to Baltimore this morning. Mr Charles Robinson of D Winesbrewer Son and Q M Bloom Co of Hagerstown hire as traveling salesman covering Pennsylvania Maryland Virginia.
