City budget shifts toward people oriented priorities
City officials expect the five year CIP budget to align with market conditions lowering estimates from 5.5 million to about 3.5 million while projects are revised as bids come in. Officials foresee gradual adoption of a more people oriented budget and limited new staff as growth increases property tax relief may be delayed and water and sewer rates may rise to improve water quality.
