County budget talks weigh CETA funded posts and energy audits
Frederick County officials weighed replacing CETA funded posts at the sheriff’s office and animal control with county funding amid possible federal budget cuts. They discussed a $7,500 office secretary salary and a $8,400 animal control attendant, plus plans for energy conservation audits at county buildings and potential funding for a spaying clinic. FCC budget hearings noted a lean year with a $2,981,352 college budget and a 104 percent rise in county share, while other agencies sought restorations and new positions.
