Rotary Talk Stresses Research Value For Industry Growth
Russell EB Travis Jr, designer of the Terrier and Talos missiles, now Reed Research Inc. administrator, told the Frederick Rotary Club at the Francis Scott Key Hotel that research yields better products at lower costs. He warned against relying on others and urged Frederick to diversify its economy through ongoing research methods. He cited national spending on defense and science as justification and noted upcoming club events and guest Rotarians attending the meeting.
