Florida man goes on trial for drug supply network
Key West resident Axel Urbanik 38 faces federal charges as a major marijuana and cocaine supplier to midlevel dealers in Frederick County and the Harrisburg region between 1979 and 1983. Prosecutors link him to dealer Ernie Pelino Jr. while defense argues no tapes or drugs link Urbanik and notes a five year statute of limitations. Witnesses described mules and large marijuana hauls, with Pelino awaiting sentencing on related tax evasion and conspiracy cases.
