Andersen to address annual Grange banquet in Frederick County
Master of the National Grange Ed ward Andersen will headline the Frederick County Pomona Grange banquet on Thursday April 30 at the Jefferson Community Center. A turkey and ham dinner starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are 5.50 for adults and 4 for children 12 and under. Reservations by April 2 via Alan Brauer at 447-6424 or a local Grange.

Man sentenced in fatal crash in Frederick County
Wolfsville man Robert Lloyd Smith, 36, was sentenced to 18 months in Frederick County Jail with nine months suspended and three years probation after pleading to homicide by motor vehicle while intoxicated. The Christmas Eve crash on US 40 killed Alice Crebbs 44, injured David Crebbs 51. Smith was intoxicated and running a stop sign on Ridge Road. A civil suit seeks damages from Smith.
