House To Be Razed At 108 Five and a Half Street
The Board of Aldermen approved demolishing the house at 108-110 Five and a Half Street at the owner Charles E Hudson's request. The property was among 24 condemned homes cited by City Health Officer Dr E C Kefauver. City Engineer W Raymond Walter said Hudson sought to recover iron from the roof and window sash, with the city taking title to remaining materials. Walter estimated junk value around 75 dollars, a figure Mayor Lloyd C Culler questioned, noting he might raze the house for about 25 dollars.
