Pay for performance eyed at Fort Detrick
About 500 civilian workers at Fort Detrick face a pilot shift from GS grades to a pay pool based on performance. COLAs may be excluded to keep the pool revenue-neutral, sparking concerns that without COLAs some employees see a pay cut. Rep Bartlett and attendees urged preserving cost of living increases while supporting performance based raises. Navy deployment note follows on Jacob Smith of Dickerson.
