Leader of survivalist group may surrender to FBI today
Jim Ellison the spiritual leader of the Covenant the Sword and the Arm of the Lord says he may surrender to federal authorities today if he gets written guarantees. He told the Arkansas Democrat that CSA negotiators worked late Sunday to end the standoff and expressed a desire to avoid bloodshed. He denied the weapons charges and said the warrant is invalid without grand jury indictment while authorities press to seize the compound and booby traps.
