Civic Club marks anniversary with Girl Scout honors
Members of the Frederick Woman's Civic Club celebrated its founding anniversary at an April meeting. The club organized April 11, 1911, joined the General Federation of Women's Clubs the next year, and honored past presidents and district officers. A tea followed. Separately, graduating senior Girl Scouts of Frederick County were feted at a reception at Homewood Retirement Center with a music program by local youths. The sixth annual Citizens Nursing Home Auxiliary meeting elected 1983-84 officers and recognized long-time service with gold stars and chevrons.
