Letter as Spokesman in Court of Appeals case
ANNAPOLIS April 21 a 200 word letter served today as legal spokesman in the Court of Appeals for a man sentenced to the House of Correction Edward N Cul lings given a five year term for false pretenses and passing bad checks to obtain building supplies wrote the letter to Maurice Ogle clerk of the court Cul lings argued he had asked for a jury trial last September and that 16 witnesses he planned to call up could not be called since the court gave him only an hour to notify them He said Judge Joseph L Carter in Baltimore Criminal Court was greatly prejudiced in this case.
