36 Relief Cases Are Suspended
The Frederick Welfare Board suspends 36 GPA cases due to a $10,330.60 cut in the county budget for general public assistance. The 1926 reduction limits aid despite applicants meeting GPA rules, with funds diverted from old age and estate sources offering only small relief. Welfare officials say the action is due to lack of funds and will persist until resources are restored.
