Essential War Work Urged By U S
A House Military Committee plan urges that 4-F and other nondeployable men be reassigned to essential work and drafted for non combat duty if they refuse or fail to take available jobs. The program requires draft board approval for job changes and could extend to 38-45 year olds if needed. No new laws are needed as existing authority covers War, Navy, selective service, and War Manpower.
