Education media specialists urged to exercise political muscles
At the Maryland Educational Media Organization conference in Frederick, MSTA President Janice Piccinini urged media specialists to engage in politics to protect education decisions. She warned that many decision makers lack educator background and emphasized mobilizing for 1986 state elections, teacher certification changes, and pension issues. The Sheraton Inn hosts about 260 attendees from public and private schools for speeches and workshops.
