Fire Destroys Farmhouse North of Mt Airy
A large frame house and contents on Raymond M. Brashear’s farm two miles north of Mt Airy were destroyed by a fire shortly after 2 pm on Thursday. Winds fanned the flames, embers lit a barn, and firefighters saved the barn and adjacent outbuildings. Miss Ethel Brashear was at school. Mr Brashear was in a field nearby.
