CATOCTIN FERNACE Active Work On The Biz Property
Work at Catectic Furnace is rapidly advancing toward a fall operation within ten days to two weeks. The coal yard engine now handles cars at the S. Co. yard, minor repairs on the arriving engine, track preparations for heavy traffic in two to three weeks, and a new mine west of the furnace is yielding well. If boiler and washers were ready, ore stock would exceed five hundred tons by week’s end, with washers at old banks to start soon. An immense dump will feed the washer, supplying two ore streams to meet furnace needs. The Loprovemana apparatus may add fifty percent efficiency to piston blowers.
