Frederick City Police arrest William C. Cummings on drug charges after a tactical unit stopped a vehicle on West Seventh Street and Fairview Avenue. Officers found four racks of crack and a pipe as the driver allegedly attempted to hide crack. He faces possession of crack possession of drug paraphernalia resisting arrest and unsafe lane change charges and awaited a bail review.
Jurors in the Lawrence T. Horn case gain a three day break with testimony set to resume Monday in Frederick County Circuit Court. Prosecutors plan to introduce telephone intercepts tying Perry to Horn as detectives described nearly two months of surveillance of the 46 year old Detroit area suspect.
A Frederick man, John Norris Anderson, 40, was arrested at 6:15 a.m. today after a stabbing that injured Guy Winford Shepard Jr. in the abdomen and required five days of hospitalization. Shepard had been sought in Montgomery and Fairfax counties for probation violations and used a false name during the incident.
