The Roads Board approved two new construction projects for the current program and tentatively backed several others for next year. Cap Stine Road south of Frederick will have about .6 mile rebuilt, while Pole Bridge Road on the Carroll-Frederick line will be studied by county officials with shared costs. The Harrisville to Covers Corner stretch will be stabilized with a culvert at the Pole Bridge site. Other projects will wait until October under a new law requiring a published list of roads to be improved next year. Dr. John H. Messier of Johnsville attended, thanking the board and offering assistance. A. Grant Hooper presided over the meeting.
