FOP Wins BZA Approval for 16 W7th St Headquarters
The Frederick Fraternal Order of Police wins Board of Zoning Appeals approval to use 16 W Seventh St, former Knights of Columbus site, as its new HQ after purchasing for 100000. Lawyer David Severn says settlement is set this month and the roof, gutters, and sidewalks will be repaired before renovations including air conditioning. FDP will own the building and plans a security-enhancing presence. Additional BIA actions include home occupations at four addresses, a veterinary hospital rebuild at 8032 C Liberty Rd, deck work at 1800 Tuscarora Ct, and 15 parking spaces at 124 S Carroll St.
