Showers Diminish in the Northeast
The Associated Press reports rainfall easing in the Northeast with lingering showers possible in extreme northeast New England and gusty winds from New York to Maine. Dry conditions prevail in the Southeast and central United States while a cold front brings wind and potential dust storms in the northern Plains. Thunderstorms form as Gulf moisture moves into the Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic.
