Egg and Produce Markets Report Mixed Prices and Declines
Spotty demand and adequate supplies marked the Baltimore egg market with Grade A large at 74-81 cents and medium 65-75 cents. Philadelphia preliminary poultry prices showed truck lot Grade A broilers at 43-45 cents, while Lancaster cattle weekly noted 4,000 head with steer prices 70.25-73.00 and cows 41.00-46.00. Sugar futures slid under 10 cents, cocoa fell on sluggish grind data, and CME livestock margins edged higher on May contracts.
