Lottery gains push with Six Flags tie in Maryland
Newly appointed Maryland Lottery Commissioner Bruce Reeder presided at his first meeting in Baltimore. The panel approved five instant lottery games to benefit the Maryland Stadium Authority and backed a joint marketing plan with Six Flags taking over Prince George's County’s old Adventure World. The lottery joint plan includes losing ticket redraws and a drawing with fifty winners competing on a TV show for 2 million dollars. The lottery aims to boost revenues to fund stadium bonds and aid the racing industry while exceeding projections by ten million dollars. Reeder, the first Western Marylander on the panel, said he will speak up and help raise lottery revenues.
