Greater Arabia Vision Spurs Nasser Integration
Egyptian Premier Gamal Abdel Nasser champions a Greater Arabia dream uniting Arab-speaking peoples from Mogador to Muscat, spanning about five million square miles and 70 million people with vast oil reserves. The plan emphasizes language and Islam, while Israel and anti Western imperialism test Arab unity amid postwar independence in 11 states. Meanwhile, Hyattstown firefighters tackle a three acre woods fire on the Vickett farm. In College Park, educators discuss desegregation and integration, arguing desegregation is a medical needle and integration a long psychological process, with a focus on common traits and proactive duty.
