Change machine stolen from laundromat in Thurmont
Thurmont police report a water Street Suds Shop Laundromat change machine was pried from the wall and dragged onto a vehicle. The theft occurred between 5:30 am and 6 am Monday, with the machine valued around $2,000 and undisclosed cash inside. Anyone with information should call Thurmont police at 301-271-7313 or Frederick state police at 301-663-3101.

Driver charged after chase on Gas House Pike
Frederick resident Michael Alan Baker was arrested early Tuesday and charged with speeding driving on a suspended license fleeing and eluding in a vehicle and on foot and turning off headlights to avoid identification by a Frederick County Sheriff deputy. Deputy Barrick pursued a Ford truck at 62 mph in a 40 mph zone on Gas House Pike near Linganore Road. The truck turned off its headlights to avoid detection and left the roadway into a driveway. The occupants fled the scene and Baker was found hiding in a barn. He was processed at the Frederick County Central Booking Unit awaiting court.

Headlight Stop Ends in Marijuana Arrest
Frederick police stopped a car for a headlight violation early Monday. Robert J Moxley, 22, was charged with possession of marijuana after the stop and was released.

Police on routine patrol in the 100 block of West South Street stopped a vehicle with a faulty headlight. The operator, 22 year old Robert Justin Moxley, was found in possession of marijuana and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He also received a safety equipment repair order for the headlight.

Thurmont man William Oliver Burriss Jr. aged 33 was stopped by Liberty Township Police on Orchard Road for not displaying an inspection sticker. He could not produce a license and provided several false names and IDs.
