James A Bailey Dead Former Barnum & Bailey Partner
James A Bailey died at his Mount Vernon home from erysipelas at age 59. A longtime circus figure, he helped lead Barnum & Bailey and spent most of his life in show business, joining P. T. Barnum in 1851 and later directing major circuses across the country. An Ontario constable notes a separate sharp cold cured quickly by Chamberlain's remedy, sold at A G Pearre's drug store.
