Bloodmobile nets 50 units at Brunswick high school drive
Red Cross bloodmobile at Brunswick High School on April 2 collected 50 units after 59 donors registered and eight deferred. Of the donors 36 were students, 17 faculty and staff, and six outsiders. Herbert L. Daugherty earned a Two Gallon Pin for his 16th pint. Volunteers included Lisa Koogle and James A. Grove among many others assisting.

Funeral directors praised in nationwide satisfaction survey
A nationwide study by Central Surveys Inc. in Milwaukee finds nine in ten teens satisfied with funeral directors. Ninety five percent approve explanations of charges, 97 percent say staff is helpful, and 94 percent note no pressure for unnecessary expenses. The report, based on 1005 interviews, supports local and state regulation over federal oversight.
