Beasley Farm Slated Forfeit Over Tax Troubles
Fay Beasley and family began moving from their 4000 acre Eldridge farm south of Jamestown under federal marshal supervision after a court sale paid the 202000 income tax judgment. Beasley had been convicted in 1954 of evading 549,902 for 1946 to 1948 and served a year in prison as interest and penalties mounted. The land and a 55000 home were sold to Arvel and Mrs. Glinz of Newbury, who expect to move in soon.
