Bell Atlantic to begin offering Internet access this summer
Bell Atlantic will launch Internet access for its local phone customers starting in July in the Washington Baltimore Roanoke and surrounding areas with a $20 monthly unlimited plan. Philadelphia New Jersey residents will sign up by late summer as service expands into other six state regions by 1997. The effort targets existing customers rather than national competition and includes reduced price access to Microsoft Network.
