Giant California bass record tied to Lake Casitas catch
The Lake Casitas angling scene adds another giant largemouth to its lore as Jan Detzel landed a 15 lb 5 oz record bass in January using 6 lb test line. She and husband had released several other sizable fish before the mark, while the I G F A confirms the world record claim for the women’s division. The article also covers multiple bass tournaments across Maryland Virginia and Delaware circuits with heavy winds and strong catches, noting winners and top weights in various clubs and events.
