New Bridge Planned Over Frederick Junction Tracks
The Baithnora and Oslo Mailroad Company plans a new bridge at Frederick Junction where Georgetown pike crosses. Crews have unloaded lumber and girders, and a steam shovel along with other machinery is ready to begin excavation. The existing wooden bridge is low and narrow, with a two-track span and poor clearance, causing occasional accidents. The new structure will be longer and higher to accommodate storage alongside main tracks and provide greater clearance for passing cars.
