Thirteen threaten to burn town in Oklahoma warning

Foreigners In Fierce Riot at Linden Refinery Site

On April 11 in Elizabeth New Jersey a clash between Kalan and Polish laborers at Linden X led to a fierce riot with stores clubs and pistols used. Many rioters were injured though not fatally. Wives and daughters reportedly joined the fighting. Several men were arrested and jailed for hearings. Italians and Poles seeking refinery work at Linden by Standard Oil fueled the clashes.

Detroit April 11. Three Canadian groups fought for smuggling Chinese into the United States a scheme across the international border here at Detroit has been exposed. Nightly incursions allegedly yielded fortune to organizers and participants over the past two years as smugglers crossed the river by illicit routes and profits swelled.
