Thomas Vedder and N R Pierson, both residents of Suspension Bridge NY, drove to Goat Island at Niagara Falls. Pierson was found on Luna Island shot in the head and partly in water. Vedder’s clothes were found on the ice. the horse and buggy were tied to a tree. Police suppose a quarrel led Vedder to shoot Pierson and then leap to his death. Both men were respected citizens.
