New handicapped signs roll out in Montgomery County
Montgomery County and the Chamber of Commerce launch a program to install about 1500 official federal design handicapped parking signs. Deputy director Robert D. Herzog notes uniform signs will help police issue tickets to violators and avoids painted road signs that wear out. The plan covers county parking areas first and expands with accessible options for hearing, visually impaired, and wheelchair users across planning areas.
