Washington April 0 Associated Press reports Senator Wheeler Democrat Montana denounced on the Senate floor the indictment returned yesterday by a Montana grand jury. Wheeler called the foreman the bitterest political enemy and accused the man who presented the evidence of seeking his aid for an appointment.
About 165 members and guests of the Athletic Association attended Hood College’s annual banquet in Coblentz Hall. Dr. William Burdick of Baltimore spoke on gender differences in athletics and fitness training. Miss Kathryn Hanes and Miss Dorothy Drew earned athletic honors. Drew also won the 1924 tennis championship cup.

Washington April 9 The Senate committee appointed to investigate the Department of Justice aid the official acts of Warren Daugherty announced after an executive session today that its inquiries would proceed with renewed force despite the indictment in Montana of the committee prosecutor Senator Wheeler.
A rescued 80 year old man, Frank S. Sheridan of the U S Soldiers Home Washington, was found on the Potomac bank near Knoxville dripping wet and trembling. He said he fell in the river while walking and asked to end his life. Deputy Rankles took him to a local home to dry clothes and arrange contact with the Soldiers' Home.
The Walkersville Lutheran Church dedication is postponed due to weather and material delays. A date for reopening will be announced with an evening service, featuring Lutheran leaders and educators. The original church underwent renovations adding a Sunday School room, vestry, larger chancel, new organ room, and a front with a tower.
