Provincetown Building Razed By Mistake

A Provincetown contractor accidentally demolished a house planned for renovation into affordable AIDS patient housing. The shed nearby was razed as well. Bay State Construction must rebuild the structure exactly as before after $1 million in government grants and subsidies had funded the project.

States urge broad sex offender notification laws

Attorney General Janet Reno urged states to require sex offenders and child molesters to notify police of their whereabouts for at least 10 years after release.
