Urbana Club Meets Tene Women’s Clubs in April
The Urbana Club gathered at Mrs. Ann Smelser’s home with nineteen members and two visitors. President Mrs Collins presided, opening with the Lord’s Prayer, then the flag pledge and a song. Mrs. Hendrickson read poems. Mrs Kidd, Mrs Briscoe, and Mrs Kasch gave the directors report. Peace chairman Mrs Derry spoke on an interesting topic.

Charley and Mike Ventros ran a colonial lunch on a Kansas City corner nearly 25 years ago. He recalls warm chili, late nights, and a younge Greek immigrant who left Arcady for America in 1907.
