Eastalco stores PCBs under state guidelines in Maryland
Eastalco plans to store more PCB liquids in drums at its Buckeystown warehouse while seeking a permit to hold up to 70 tons. Company officials say the material is inert and non volatile and not corrosive, with weekly warehouse inspections and monthly DHMH visits. PCB disposal is tightly regulated and leads to an Arkansas Texas incineration. Comments on the permit are due by May 17.
