Easier To Build Youths Than To Mend Men
Dr. Clifton T. Perkins Maryland Mental Hygiene chief spoke at the Frederick County Tuberculosis and Public Health Association annual meeting at the YMCA. He urged preventive care and noted 9,300 patients in state hospitals at an annual cost over 10.5 million dollars, stressing that loving care in uncrowded settings may aid mentally ill individuals better than therapy. The talk warned against future neurotic conflict and stressed national and international mental balance.
