In a striking Atlantic sighting Captain Dexter reports the Austrian bark Pisino abandoned off Pensacola bound for Genoa. The vessel shows hurried abandonment with sails set and water flooding hatches, its crew missing and the rudder head gone. Pisino, formerly Leaping Water, was built in 1859 and hails from Trieste.
