Girl, 7, hurt near Silver Spring apartments playground
A seven year old girl was dragged to a wooded area near Forest Park Apartments on Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring by a white male in his twenties. Police described the suspect as slender with shoulder length black hair, a gold earring, and a skeleton T shirt. The attack occurred between 10 30 and 11 30 am Monday and the girl was treated at a local hospital.

Ijamsville woman charged after Md. 109 collision
Judith McKey, 32, of Ijamsville escaped serious injury when her Mercury Cougar overturned while turning onto I 270. She was charged with failure to grant the right of way.
