The Tiger in the Tiger Pit review by Pauline K Schmockler
Australian author Janette Turner Hospital crafts a dense family saga in The Tiger in the Tiger Pit. The narrative weaves past and present through tightly drawn portraits of Edward and Elizabeth and their offspring Emily Adam Jason Victoria and Tory as tensions flare. Hospital’s elegant prose and deep character insight yield a powerful study of family ties and the limits of reconciliation.
