Hamilton Kirkland Choir stuns Frederick with classical and modern

The Hamilton-Kirkland Choir from colleges near Clinton New York performed at the Weinberg Center on March 31 to a sparse Frederick audience. The program mixed Latin hymn Exsultare Deo, Bach Jesu Meine Freude, and Baroque to contemporary pieces. A Barber Shop Quartet interlude delighted the crowd, followed by Thea Musgrave’s Rorate Coeli. Ground broken for Maryland tourism information center

A ground breaking ceremony at the South Mountain rest stop on Interstate 70 marked the start of Maryland’s first tourism information center.
