Derailed chlorine tanker unloaded at Clorox plant after derailment
The 17 000 gallon chlorine car rolled from East Fifth Street to the Clorox bleach plant yard on March 15 and was emptied Tuesday officials plan to move it Friday and inspect the car in Brunswick. A prior brake defect was reported by federal investigators.

C&O Canal panel seeks act to gain W M Railroad right of way
The C&O Canal Advisory Commission urged federal legislation to acquire the Western Maryland Railroad right of way from Roundtop to Cumberland totaling 34 miles with six miles in West Virginia. The panel favored public retention of the entire corridor, possible trail use, and shared management between Maryland and West Virginia while the federal government would own the land. Letters will go to Interior Secretary Cecil D. Andrus and Senator Charles Mathias.
