Jamison Sentenced to Three Years for Forgery in Circuit Court
Rayner I. Jamison, 46, of Monrovia, received a three year term in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to forgery. Associate Judge Patrick M. Schnauffer noted a prior suspended sentence in 1945 and that the father, John C. Jamison, had been financing forged checks for years. Jamison signed his father's name on forged checks including a $25 item on February 18 and a $20 item on February 22, obtaining merchandise and cash. Police had linked six or seven forged-check cases to him in the city by February 26. He said he wished to repay the victims.

Bicyclist Escapes Injury In Elm Street Collision

Clubhouse Destroyed at Cumberland Country Club
The Cumberland Country Club clubhouse was destroyed by fire early today after 1 a.m. Firefighters from four volunteer companies fought the blaze.
